first draft of magazine 2

This is my first draft of my magazine in which I have completed on the 24/09/2020.

What I like:

  • I like the image in which I have chosen for my front cover as I believe it is very powerful due to the direct gaze of the model.
  • I like the style of the masthead and the position of it. It is a typical magazine convention for the masthead to be behind the model's head therefore I have conformed to this convention.

What I will change:

  • I will change the colour of the font on the page to be white or blue as these colours link to the colours of the image therefore only a few colours are being used which allows the page to appear professional.
  • I will add boxes and lines to the page to allow for there to be extra elements to the page, making it more appealing.
  • I will remove the text explaining my model's story as I want my audience to decipher the model's message rather than being directly told it on the front cover as this will allow for an element of depth to be created in the magazine.
  • I will create a barcode which contains the date, issue price and issue number on as this is a typical magazine convention.
  • I will add other stories onto the front cover to show that my magazine contains a wide range of current affairs stories so it meets the current affairs genre.
  • I will add the title 'Time for change' onto the front cover to add an extra element to the page.
  • I will add a feature which talks about the 'Time for change' campaign in which I have running throughout my magazine and website and allows the products to be linked.
